ABOUT US

The Club was founded in December 1958 in the tool room of Westinghouse Rosebery.

It's original name was Westinghouse Golf Club which was later changed to Toolroom Golf Club.

However, this name created the impression that membership was restricted to tool room personnel only, so the name changed to Email (Rosebery) Golf Club.

The first match was played on the 17th, January 1959 at the Greenwood Golf Club.

For outstanding service to the Club we have honoured a few members with life membership.

These members are: Martin Scott, Peter Sheldon, Barry Knight, Norm Sollars, Frank Van Niel, Ron Smith, Maurice Wilson, Michael Kimber, Peter Edmonds & Neil Garrard.

The Club, which is not sponsored by Email, is in a sound financial position thanks to the members who play each month.

The Head
The 'HEAD' - a carved coconut from Papua New Guinea and donated by Mr. Fred Clift is taken home each month by the loser.
